On February 17, 2009, the The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed into law. It provides a one-time tax credit of up to $1,500 dollars for qualifying energy efficient home improvement products. (See link to the right)

Taxpayers purchasing replacement windows in 2009 and 2010 that meet specific energy efficiency requirements are eligible for 30% of the amount as a tax credit up to $1,500 for the years of 2009 and 2010.

There has never been a better time to replace your old windows and patio doors with more energy efficient ones not only is it good for our country but a great way for you to save both on the windows cost and on your energy bills.

What You Need To Do
Simply purchase qualifying Amerimax windows and patio doors between February 17, 2008 and December 31, 2010.

Save all purchase receipts, all ENERGY STAR or NFRC labels from the installed windows and doors and a keep a printed copy of the Amerimax Manufacturer’s Certification Statement (see link to right).

Many of our windows and patio doors qualify (see link to the right) and be certain to verify with your Amerimax dealer that the widows and doors you choose qualify.
